It’s not spam just because it hurt your feelings. It also does not give you the right to harass other forum posters.
To the OP.
I must admit, one of my brothers read the title of your post and called me confused by it.
As I explained to him, he can still use remote streaming for free to my server. No change.
The only change is for the free loaders out there.
Simple,
Remote streaming will be a Plex Pass feature only if you connect to a server that doesn’t have a Plex Pass

Of course, it’s spamming when you’re not using Plex anymore. In fact, I use Plex, Jellfyfin, and Emby. Just to know what differences there are between them
Sorry master I didn’t know I wasn’t allowed to post on this forum after being a plex user for over a decade because I can’t use Plex anymore (not by choice).
Apparently anyone who is dissatisfied with Plex should shut up and not post here. I didn’t know.

Of course, you can continue to use Plex. Either as a free version or you pay for extra features. I’m very doubtful that you’ve used Plex for ten years. You’ve never been able to keep yourself away from the forum for so long. You express your opinion about Plex and I express my opinion about your presence.
So since you are a software engineer, I assume you do it for free and you are not getting paid for your work product, right?

Nothing has changed unless you remote stream from a server that doesn’t have a Plex Pass.
As was said way back at the start, the thread title is clickbait (and I fell for it).
QA finds bugs, they do not decide what to fix. And in my experience, PMs follow orders from executives and directors.
There is plenty of blame to go around for what we are dealing with now, but I do not lay it at the feet of the typical employee.
So they force us to pay even if we pay the unlock fee on each app .. this is pure scam . We host the server , we host data , we use our internet , we use our computer to transcode , why the hell i will pay for that . Hope no one will pay for that .
What is the name of the software that allows you to do it all …
Oh and no one is forcing you to do anything.
