I recently got a Synology NAS and created a new plex server there. Still working out some bugs but one that I’ve noticed is that my Live TV and DVR doesn’t work from my Synology but works on my Nvidia server. I have the HD HomeRun and have antenna signal going through my plex. It picks up when I access my Synology and I can stream from there, however when I run the Plex client from my shield, it doesn’t stream there all the time.
Secondly, as I want to just have the one server on my Synology, I want to remove my Plex Media server off my Shield. I tried to delete the app from the files app on my Shield, but it keeps showing up, not sure how to fully remove it.
We don’t have a Plex client for the Synology? What are you using?

I want to remove my Plex Media server off my Shield
The Shield comes with Plex Media Server preinstalled, you can’t get rid of it totally. You can remove updates, which will rest it and remove your account info so it should be as if the server doesn’t exist. You will need to delete it from your Authorized devices list in Plex Web so it doesn’t appear under your account.
Edit - The Plex client also comes preinstalled so you can’t get rid of that too. If you want to use the client app but not the server, don’t activate the option to enable the server when launching the client app.
Sorry, I meant that when I launch plex off my Synology from my macbook, the liveTV and DVR seems to run fine but when I run plex from my Nvidia (via my Synology server) it doesn’t seem to work. When I run the same app from my Nvidia server (not Synology server) it works. I’ve now removed my Nvidia server, but I still have this persistent issue that when I try launching LiveTV and DVR using my Shield from my new Synology server, that function is hit or miss.
There have been reports of LiveTV not working well on the Shield Plex client. Would need you to reproduce then provide logs from the app and server to see if they are the same.
