You may want to check in to Ready Nas or Unraid. I personally run Unraid and have for years, it has worked grate.

All ReadyNAS are end of life products. That was my first stop since I already run a ReadyNAS.

I upgraded to Synology DS920+ and am very happy with it. I had my PMS on DS916+ before and was running out of space. Decided to throw in for new NAS and DS920+ seemed to be best all around for PMS. It plays 4k content without issue within and remotely from network even when transcoding.

Good to know, I did not know Ready Nas was EOL. As I said I use Unraid.
