Please add Plot summary to local assets. Perhaps a summary.txt file.
Local assets currently supports Editions, artwork, and theme music. Please add Plot summary as well. I want plex to use a local file for plot descriptions. That way plex will refer to our local plot summary instead of some of showing whatever it finds on TMDB or wherever. I dont want to re-write a summary every time I move or delete a file and it just erases my customizations. This would be great for editions, which can be helpful in understanding what the differences in directors cuts might be.
There’s already an existing suggestion discussing an option for Plex to include metadata like summaries from a local file. I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to help us avoid distracting or cannibalizing votes. Unless I’m missing some unique aspect of your suggestion I’ll close this thread as a duplicate.
