I really like using the Rewind on Resume feature. However, I don’t understand why it can only be used after a pause. I would like it to be usable when I continue watching a film or series after I have finished Plex in the meantime; for example when starting playback via the Resume button on the details page of a media item or starting playback of an in-progress item directly from Continue Watching.

Nice callout - but I have a follow-up question. Most of the time when I use CW (continue watching) there is a time period in between my first viewing session and when I resume watching. Often times it will be a day or so later. With the concept of a larger time in between most viewing sessions here, does skipping back a few seconds on resume make as much sense as it does when resuming from a typically shorter duration pause event? Just want to make sure I understand the use case here. Thanks for posting the suggestion and I look forward to understand the reasons behind the request a bit better!

I do the same as you, I usually continue an episode the next day. To “get back into” the scene, I think it would be good if the scene could be rewound by a few seconds (preferably about half a minute).
Sometimes a few seconds are chopped off when continuing. Rewinding by a few seconds would also minimise this.
