RFC5735 [RE: illegal-whitelist-covers-multiple-wan-ips]

Server Version#: Version 1.16.3.1402
Player Version#:any
MessageIllegal whitelist covers multiple WAN IPs

Per RFC5735 (which supercedes RFC1918) there are several groups of IP addresses beyond the generic blocks, that are BOGONS (IE never routed on the internet) and are valid for LAN or WAN usage. I use several of them myself to avoid overlap with the 10.x, 172.16.x, and 192.168.x space.

please include those IP address ranges as “legal” for use with PMS, so the server logs stop filling up? Thanks!

Out of curiousity, why aren’t you using the IP ranges set aside for private network use?

I am.

I’ve found when traveling, it’s safest to use something other than those 3, to avoid overlap with hotels, mobile parks, public wifi, etc.
