ROKU Box / Subtitles adjust offset/speed

Is anyone from Roku support team reading this? Please add subtitle offset adjust to the Roku Client…

Please add the subtitle offset feature to Roku. Most other platforms support subtitle offset so it is pretty tedious to have to manually alter .srt files or re-encode video files for the Roku. An acknowledgement of the request would be cool too…

This is a constant frustration of mine. There’s movies/shows that I just don’t watch because of this issue.

The Subtitle offset is really a MUST add to the ROKU PLEX Channel. It’s my only major issue using PLEX. I have over 3500 files in my libraries and really would like to see this resolved.
PLEASE!!

This is the one and only feature I find myself wishing for when using Plex on Roku, especially considering it’s available and works well on other platforms.

Adjusting the offset would be ideal as a quick and easy fix for out-of-sync subtitles. Please add!

EDIT
For anyone still having issues, I’ve had good results by:

  • Turning captions to “Always On” in Roku Settings (Setting this alone didn’t help)
  • In the Playback Options of Plex, turning Subtitle Burn-In to “Image Format Only” and using OpenSubtitles SRT files.

I wouldn’t have thought that leaving Subtitle Burn-In to “Automatic” would affect this, but the subtitles were in sync afterwards. Last resort is using PGS files for subtitles which worked better, but on the Roku player this requires transcoding.
