Roku search can't find media on my plex server?

I am new to plex and roku. Dropping cable for it in fact. I have a roku ultra and a plex server, plex works great on the roku so no problems there. My issue is the search function in roku seems to surface every available option for watching what I search for except for stuff I have on my plex server? Shouldn’t the roku be able to see what’s on my plex server and surface that along with everything else when I search for a movie for instance? It finds what’s available on other apps but not the plex app?

I’m asking on the roku forum as well because I don’t know if it’s a setting in roku or plex or not possible at all.
