rPi Plexamp - See Player - Can't Select It

I think this is a network issue, not Plexamp…
Using my phone I can see the rPi Plexamp player, but when I select it nothing happens.

I set the pi up when it was attached to the network via ethernet, but I’m using it via wifi (there’s a router between the player and the modem). Is that possibly the problem?
If that is the issue, how do make the rPi Plexamp player findable?

Thanks.

Whenever the headless app starts, it registers with the proper address. If you switched it over from Ethernet to WiFi it’s possible it got a new IP address. Restart the headless version, refresh players in the controller, and see if that works. If not, please post logs.

Did you sort this out?. Sounds like I have similar issues.

Hi.
No, I keep losing them.
I have Pi3 and a Pi4 that both seem to be set up properly, but I either get a “can’t connect” message or I can’t select the player from the list (ghosting).
I’m thinking it has to do with my wireless router, as it seems to work when ethernet straight from the modem. However, if I use wifi or ethernet from my wireless router I get the same ghosting.
I’ve set up static IPs for both the modem and wireless router. I can SSH into the Pi via moden/ethernet or wireless router (wifi & ethernet), so I don’t think it’s a connectivity issue.
I’m not technically strong, so I’ve kind of stalled.

I’ve done enough testing that I’m confident the issue relates to the wireless router preventing the Pi from being seen properly.

Is there a particular log, or should I just use the download logs, zip feature?

Thanks.

if there is double NAT with wireless that would also be an issue. Pi needs to be directly accessible.

I have a similar problem but only when using a web browser. On my phone I can connect to plexamp and always see it. The browser (Safari on macOS) often doesn’t even show it and if it does has problems like “An error occurred loading the media being played on “Evo Sabre”.”

If I select something new it works in that case but the browser seems to be a lot less reliable somehow. Didn’t have any problems like that when the PI was running the full Plex Media Player version.
