I’m trying to process an already-recorded TV episode to generate the EDL file but when I run it using Plex’s built-in comskip.ini file against one of the tv episodes recorded through Plex, I get the unsupported codec error.
I’m confused by this because of course it supports this codec since Plex is using it for commercial detection before removal.
Maybe I’m missing a setting, or the path is wrong or something.
Any ideas?
Am I the only one who has this problem?
I guess you are or you are not getting any response because you have provided no details of exactly what you are trying to do other than to generate an EDL file using the comskip.ini file. HOW are you trying to do this? You provided very little information to even provide any suggestions.

Well, I’m using the Plex version of comskip, with the Plex comskip.ini file, pointed at one of my files (which was recorded from Plex DVR).
“Plex Commercial Skipper.exe” --ini “C:\Program Files (x86)\Plex\Plex Media Server\Resources\comskip.ini” “H:\DVR\Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (2012)\Season 01\Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (2012) - S01E01 - Daniel’s Birthday; Daniel’s Picnic.ts”
The output I’m getting is attached.
Is there more information I’m leaving out?
