I'm trying to determine if PlexConnect is able to save the play position of a video. If I stop playback at a certain point, I would expect it to pick up where I left off, either on the AppleTV or any other Plex device.
However, this doesn't seem to work.
Is this a limitation of PlexConnect, or have I configured something wrong?
If you are stopping in the first mins it won't save but after it it sure will ..
Hm. PlexConnect gives "timeline" calls to your PMS, that are exactly for that: storing the replay position for the next "resume". There are known issues with "stacked media", but in general it is supposed to work.
There was a recent change in PMS, ignoring the timestamps in the first 30sec (or so). It was way shorter previously...
Hi Baa. You are spot on - once I got a few minutes in the Media Server saved my position. Looks like PlexConnect will permanently replace my Firecore Infuse setup now.
