I got a notification that AppleTV (and Roku, I believe) could now search Plex. This doesn’t work for me but it was something I rally wanted. Did an Apple update invalidate this feature? Do I need to do something to make it work?
I guess you’re talking about searching in Apple’s “TV” / “Search” apps – not the search feature of Plex itself?
The online catalog of Plex should still be available for search for users in the US. This feature is not available in other regions.
Keep in mind this only applies to media from Plex’ video-on-demand service – not your local/shared libraries!
Oh. I was hoping we were talking the movie library.
No – but there’s obviously the search inside Plex itself which is now enriched with Plex “universal search” and info where to watch certain movies/shows (incl. your own).
