Security update on Linux

Yesterday I1ve received a mail from Plex regarding security update. My servers are affected (all of them run on Ubuntu server 202x.0x LTS. The mail says: “The new version (1.42.1.10060 or later) is now available to update”, but my admin page shwos: “1.42.1.10054 is now available. This update will need to be installed manually after download.” So the offered “latest” version is older than the version vith security patch. Any idea?

Server Version#: 2 x 1.41.7.9823 (and 1.41.0.8994)
Player Version#:
<If providing server logs please do NOT turn on verbose logging, only debug logging should be enabled>

If the feed has not yet been updated, you can always download the latest public release from Plex‘s Download Page.

All versions in the 1.42.1 branch should have the security patch.

Question on the latest security update. Does it only affect versions from 1.41.7x? If I have a much older version prior to that one, it’s not?

According to the announcement, the issue was introduced with 1.41.7.
Keeping your server on a much older version might invite other troubles (though, apparently not that security issue).
