I am seeing some duplicate thumbnails of some movies I have. The correct movie has the year under it. The duplicates just says 1 movie under the thumbnail? Any ideas on how to remove them?
The ones that say “1 movie” are collections, which Plex may automatically create, based on the library settings. You can change settings to not create collections, or only create collections if there are 2 or more relevant movies.
Thanks! Where do I make the change to remove collections? I have been searching in settings and can not locate?
Edit the movie library, and go to the Advanced tab.
Near the bottom of the Advanced settings you’ll find the dropdown list shown below. The default is “1,” for reasons passing understanding, but you can set it for up to 4, or “disabled.” So Plex either won’t create collections at all, or won’t automatically create a collection unless there are at least x relevant items:
Once you’ve saved your settings, you have to Refresh Metadata for the library. I think Plex will remove collections that don’t meet the settings, but I’m not certain of that.
If you do let Plex create some collections (or if you manually create collections yourself), at the bottom of the Advanced tab are some options for how Plex will display collections in your library.
