Screnario: As a server admin on a dedicated root server, is it possible to restrict a web admin to use specific options in the settings panel ?
Lets say I dont want the web admin to fiddle with generel settings , or transcodes etc…
Is that possible ?

In Plex there is only one type of admin. That is the user who has added the server to his plex account.
This user is allowed to do every administrative task.
All other users are not admins and cannot do anything except playing media and rate them.

Well I once tried a server provider where plex was installed, the plex menus where restricted . Many options was disabled . I had options but was very restricted.
Just curious if there is an option to write protect server settings , so an admin cant change settings once made. ?
I don’t know what you tried, but what you are describing is not functionality of Plex.
