My server is showing libraries as not available.
My unraid server had a disk failure, so I replaced it. After restart, my docker service would not start. So I deleted the img file and restarted. I then reinstalled the Plex server.
When I start the web ui, none of my libraries are available. Each library in the web app says ‘No content available’. When I goto manage libraries and click on the name, it will show me all my media files for that library. So I know I have the libraries pointed correctly.
After logging off and logging pack into my plex account, the libraries were now available to the users. But all usage data was gone. and my server is no longer available outside my network.
I tried to restore from backup, but found the last scheduled backup ran 8 months ago. WTF, it is supposed to run every 3 days.
Does anyone have any insight? Otherwise, I might as well completely destroy my install and start clean.
Odds are you had an event 8 months ago that corrupted your database. That in turn caused database backups to fail. I always suggest having some kind of system wide backup that goes back at least 45 days. (Relying on an application to back itself up is at best temperamental, and at worst useless (as you are seeing here).
