The server has crashed several times since upgrading and it’s not really clear what’s going on. I’ve included all of the logs that I could find from the time of the most recent crash. I guess I should note that I was also having some trouble with the 1.40.0.7997 beta release as well but I assumed that it would go away with the stable release.
Similarly, I’m getting “Something went wrong” for every library after this update. I downloaded the logs and found some clues:

I saw those errors and I’m pretty sure they’re related to an old plugin that was deprecated years ago and I never got rid of it. I’ve since trashed the plugin, but I didn’t pull the more recent logs.
Even still, not sure why that would matter. As of now, I’ve been about 8 hours without the server crapping out so hopefully it’s fixed itself? Seems too good to be tree to be true.
I’ve been getting the exact same thing. Plex is still technically running for me but no media can be accessed. And it happens daily. Any luck fixing it?
I am having the same problem. Plex Service is on Windows 10. The server stops responding to play media, but DVR recording continues ok. I have to reboot in order to restore Plex to play media. It started with update 1.40.0.7998. Any one else seeing this?
I have gone though 2 updates since my last post. Still happening…although when a show hangs, I go and Optimize the Database and guess what? That fixes it.
