When is this going to be fixed ? I have tried putting the latest version on and it still does this…
running on Mojave 10.14 with Plex Version 1.29.2.6364-6d72b0cf6
I cannot change any settings on this server I had to resort to using another mac and a new copy of Plex to use a new hdhomerun because I cannot set anything up on my old reliable Plex machine (mac pro cheese grater 5,1 )
I opened the Setup plex.html and it said initializing and a spinning symbol then after awhile gave me this message “Something went wrong. Make sure the server is available and try again.”
So I also tried the enableLocalSecurity to “false” and that does NOT help either …
super frustrating …
I am having the same issue as the OP. I am running Plex Media Server 1.30.0 on a 2012 Mac mini under Mojave 10.14.6 and I started getting the “Server settings are unavailable.” error a short while back. I have tried logging out of Plex and logging back in, I have tried the method described in the other article (“open Setup\ Plex.html”) and, after it put up “Initializing Plex Media Server…” with a spinning cursor for a while, I got an error doing that.
What else can I do? Where are the Plex server logs that I can look at to find out why it is throwing this error? Why can’t I log in to my lifetime Plex Pass account and tell it to (re)claim my Plex server? ¯\__(ツ)_/¯
