Set default audio track

Hello,
Multiple of my media files have two audio tracks, such as TrueHD/DTS-HD and an AC3. Because there are still devices which don’t support these high-end formats when an user goes to play the media it forces the Plex Server to transcode, which of course degrades the quality, causes unnecessary transcoding on the server etc. Also the user doesn’t know that he is forcing transcoding and wouldn’t come to his mind to change the audio track.

Is it possible in the Edit menu for a movie/tv-show, to set an audio track as default or maybe some kind of “smart” detection of the Plex app so when it tries to playback and sees that the audio track is not natively supported, to switch to the next one?
Currently the only way is to do it manually with a tool like mkvtoolnix and set as default the other audio track, which means a new file is going to be created when exporting and it is quite cumbersome.

Unfortunately not.

I heard about the Roku client being able to do something like that. However, it is not fail safe and can as easily cause problems, instead of solving one.

I’m afraid that is the only sure-shot way of doing it, atm.
