Setting tags from outside (command line, url commands etc) possible?

Hey,
I am migrating my video library to Plex. I don’t like to set the tags (especially for collections) manually with the web interface. Is it possibile to set the tags via command line? E.g. via URL command?

There is no official API for that available, unfortunately.
