There’s been a number of requests to include weather information over the years. Ranging from a mere weather status to support for actual alerts. Those have been consolidated into this one in the past (though that one doesn’t specifically mention severe weather alerts):
Personally I believe, apps should stick to their purpose and not try to be something they aren’t. That’s why there’s already dedicated warning/alert channels – be it as apps or via other means.
That being said… if you feel this is important to you, I suggest to comment/vote in that other thread to avoid distracting/dispersing the little support this topic had gotten over the years (avoiding further duplicates).
