Show music info? E.g. display 44.1khz, 24bit, FLAC (etc)

Hi.

I’m been downloading a bit of music from HDTracks lately and streaming it to Xbox One. Got a few questions floating around in my head. Apologies if these questions have been answered a million times already…

  1. For starters, will these “HD” music files be getting transcoded or played natively, without loss?

  2. Is it possible to display stream information? E.g. display 44.1khz, 24bit, FLAC.

  3. Can PLEX handle Multichannel FLACs (or any multi-channel music formats)?

Please have a look at this.

Flac is currently not supported and is getting transcoded.

Thanks. So how do I know if it’s being “Direct Streamed or transcoded”?

You can see this on your PC (where plex server is installed).

Open the web-interface and in the top right corner unter activity you see your currently playing music, there you can click on (i) … info and you see if it´s transcoded or direct played
