It would be handy top show the season and episode, e.g., S1 - E1, on the TV Guide on the iOS client like is done on the Web client.

Which clients are you talking about? They show up just fine on the Web client for example. And they show up on the Details page from the guide on iOS…

I was thinking of iOS and now that you point out the Web client does it that is exactly what I was hoping for. So I guess the original request should be, “Show the season and episode in the iOS client like is done for the Web client.”

I don’t want to have to tap on each show to see the details in order to determine it’s a new show, etc.

New shows will have a “new” icon on them. Here’s an example: from my iPhone.

I believe the (NEW) badge indicates first airing of that episode not of the show.

Two separate feature suggestions for two separate aspects:

  • This one, I want to see the season/episode, e.g. S2 -E3, on the Guide on the iOS client. Just like is done on the Web client. This could be used for many purposes one of which is I could see that a new show was starting because it would be S1 - E1.
  • The other one, help me discover new shows. Highlight new shows (not episodes) and maybe even notify me so I can consider setting up recording before I miss an episode.
