I really like the Preview Thumbnail generation, but ended up disabling it, as it took too much space on my SSD’s, given most things are watched infrequently.
But I’d love to see some ‘smart’ generation of thumbnails, where the thumbnails are generated on a needs-basis.
For Films, this might be
- popular films
- recent films
- films in playlists
For TV shows, you could go a step further, and always have episode 1 done, and as someone starts watching a new series, then generate the previews for the rest of the series
