I’m having the same issue playback error conversion failed. the transcoder exited due to error this just started happening recently was working fine until now I checked for updates and updated my graphics card drivers and its still not working I’m using my ps4 to stream to

I’m not sure what time it happened but its every time I play something that requires transcoding I get maybe 5 minutes in and then get the message I haven’t changed anything on that PC

The symptoms I am seeing are similar to what was caused by a faulty windows 10 update released on July 10th

Could you please check the windows 10 build number.

and look for the info displayed in section

This was the main forum thread for that windows bug - which microsoft fixed in a subsequent update

[Windows 10 Update KB4338819 issue] Conversion Failed. The transcoder exited due to an error

Hello everybody, I got the Plex Media Server on my laptop and all of sudden I got this error “conversion failed transcoder exited” What can I do to fix it? Thanks!
