Are there any plans for this feature coming to freeBSD plattform?
I love the feature but do not want to give up the rocksolidness of ZFS…

Plex have stated that the sonic features are currently not available on FreeBSD due to some dependencies not being available on that platform. I’m not aware if there’s plans by the owners of that library to bring it to more platforms or an ETA.
