Hello, first time poster, so apologies for any missteps.
For approximately the past year I have been using PlexAmp with no issues other than a complete lack of Sonic Analysis data.
The server has a Lifetime Plex Pass, and under Settings > Library, “Analyze audio tracks for sonic features” is set to “as a scheduled task and when media is added.” I have also enabled the Sonic Analysis option for the music library in PlexDash.
When I attempt to analyze the music library, I see alerts such as “Finished processing Artist / Album / Track #” and the Plex logs show tracks entering and leaving the “analyzing” state, but no Sonic data is ever generated. In PlexAmp, every track reports that Sonic data is missing.
I have also tried:
- Manually selecting “Analyze” on the entire music library.
- Refreshing metadata for the library.
- Expanding the Scheduled Tasks window from 00:00-23:00 to allow analysis to run throughout the day.
- Restarting Plex Media Server multiple times.
I was told that CPU architecture could potentially be an issue, but this server is running natively on Ubuntu and uses an Intel N150 CPU (x86_64), which I believe should be supported.
Server information:
- Plex Media Server version: 1.42.2.10156
- PlexAmp version: 4.12.4
- OS: Ubuntu 24.04.4 LTS
- CPU: Intel N150 (x86_64)
I’m hoping someone might be able to suggest next steps of things to try?
