Sounds like you’re running into the same problem I have here;
I don’t really think I’ve got any sort of a real answer, and the only thing I can think of from scouring these forums for similar problems, is that Plex stubbornly re-scans and re-scans when it can’t find a match for an album at MusicBrainz. I think that involves creating a MusicBranz AccousticID, trying to match that to their database, not finding one, and starting all over. Again and again.
It doesn’t seem to be a problem they are willing to acknowledge. Maybe you could “bump” up my post to give it another shot at an answer. I’ve frankly given up and shut down the server when it happens.
