Hi,
I just yesterday started working with libspotify and PySpotify to get Spotify running under Plex again. Old version used despotify codes, so I think it’s better to move to spotify’s own api. Okay, so I got PySpotify compile under osx and the examples working (commenting audio playback codes, which used alsa out). But, when wrapper is run inside Plex, it can’t find libspotify anymore. I don’t really know how to debug this and why it can’t find the libspotify anymore (or which paths it uses). Some tips? 
Also couldn’t get static linking to work, but I think it’s not the way to do this.

I’m sorry I can not offer you any help hence I don’t have any idea of programming in general. Nonetheless I would very much like to encourage your initiative cause it’s been awfully quiet around any Spotify developments lately! Hope you manage to create something to complete Plex!
Really nice to se that someone is trying to get Spotify to Plex. I couldnt code to save my own life, but this might help.
Awesome to hear that someone is looking into this. I was thinking the other day that this should be really useful. I’ve only recently started looking at writing my own plugins and struggling to get enough time to work on a LoveFilm one. One thought, where are you placing libspotify within the bundle? Is it in \Libaries as suggested here? Sorry if this is a useless suggestion…
