There are times when you want to skip the trailer, but overall you want the feature to exist (example - my wife wanted to show me a specific scene, but since the movie wasn’t started / in progress it showed the trailer first). Add a “Play without trailer” option next to Play, or possibly hidden as a long press.
There’s already a similar suggestion asking for an option to skip trailers and prerolls – I suppose that’s what you’re trying to achieve, isn’t it? If so, I suggest you comment/vote in that thread in order to avoid distracting/dispersing votes.
Unless I’m missing some unique feature/aspect of your suggestion, I’ll then close this thread as a duplicate.
