I didn't find a Plex app/channel that is designed to stream video from my Foscam 8918. Did I miss it?
If not, I also found some information referring to the use of "tvheadend". I looked into that and I don't see documentation on implementing this on Rasplex. If anyone has experience with this, can you point me to the docs?

A quick search of this forum for 'tvheadend' will bring back some earlier posts.
Ned, I appreciate the help but honestly, I'm not a lazy person whom didn't search before they posted. I know there are a ton of people who don't even try to help themselves prior to asking for help - I get it. But I'm not one of those people. The thread you linked was literally the first thing I found on Google when searching for this topic. Unfortunately, it was not helpful. If you read through that thread, the OP "timcdn" never gets his question answered, and, never posted that it was working. So, I disregarded that thread based on the fact that it's 18 months old and the OP never got their question answered.
I posted this thread to see if anyone has any experience getting an ip camera to stream to plex. My post -and question- still stand, so if anyone on here has successfully done this, please chime in!
In the interest of toying with Ned's suggestion post, I created a .strm file and inside have placed the url to my ipcam but all I get is "Unable to play media" and below that reads "Please check that this file exists and that the necessary drive is mounted", then it gives another popup which says "Playback failed - one or more items failed to play"
@burgertime78, I feel you're pain on the responses you are getting in this thread. I had an issue specific to rasplex that I posted about here after searching and reading multiple posts on both the forums and over the web (reddit, rasplex github, etc...) and when I brought it up I got the same "DAFS" response from Ned. While I appreciate the great work he (and the whole team) does with RasPlex, he does seem to be rather acerbic in his responses at times...
That being said, I think you are barking up the wrong tree here so to speak by posting this question in the RasPlex forum. I would try posting in the "General" forum, or possibly the Plex Media Server forum for your particular flavor (Linux, OSX, Windows, etc...). If something hasn't already been developed you will at least possibly reach a wider audience there, and possibly someone who could at least point you in the right direction for further research.

My apologies if it came across that way, did you post the Zoom issue on Github, can't recall seeing it yet.
Rather than posting in the "General" section it may be better in the "Channel Development" sub forum, there have been posts in the past in there.
I must admit that burgertime78's query did get me thinking. I have ordered a cheap IP webcam to play with, with a view to developing something in a Channel, however, as you said this is not really a Rasplex issue, but I'll give it a shot. No promises on when this may happen.

Not a problem, I don't mean to take a dig, just constructive criticism I guess. However I imagine you are very busy with development (and life haha) so I can understand where answering the same question when it has been answered elsewhere before is annoying.
Yes I did post it in the issues section of the RasPlex github, though I see there is a long list there so I figured you guys are just making your way through and my turn will come eventually :D
