The feature will be rolled out “cautiously” in waves over the next few days, i.e. not everyone will get it immediately.
This is done so the opensubtitles.org servers won’t get killed by every Plex user testing the feature simultaneously…
Try to restart your Plex server once or twice to force it to contact plex.tv
You can recognize the presence of the feature by the added “subtitle track” named More... on the preplay screens.
There is no need to ‘Refresh Metadata’.
Hi, I’ve also updated server version to 1.13.8.5395 and updated android version as well as web client version but have some strange behavior. I’m running two servers, one as the primary on my freenas on a jail, i.e. Linux, and a “backup” on my main windows machine and the strange thing is that on the windows server subtitles searches is working but on the Linux one it is not.
How come? since I a have the same user/web/android/all things common but the back end, do they not have the same functionality? Or this just a question of not rolling it out to Linux back ends yet? Where should you send the question? A bug report?
Edit:
And now after a few start and stop it is working, you are great plex!
