Hello everybody
Just by curiosity, what is the size of your plex library ? How many movies in your database ?
720 items using 2.5 TB of space
Currently stands at 1060 items in my āMoviesā library.
466 items at 2.6TB
1112 Movies, at 11.8TB
About 2500 movies and 26000 TV episodes in 463 series using 50 TB of disk space (each file is duplicated in that space for redundancy)
If you think that is big wait till some of the folks with really big libraries notice this thread and decide to chime in. My library is poverty stricken compared to many. However I āmayā have one of the largest among the folks that do not share with anybody.
I got lucky in that I inherited 60-70% of what I have from an uncle that was as nuts about video as I and had nearly the same tastes.
I have 29 movies (not what I use Plex for).
2,322 movies at 19.1 TB.
74 Concerts and Performances at 644 GB.
1075 Series/Shows at 23.1 TB.
Music at 1.1 TB.
119 Anime Movies at 975 GB
99 Anime Series/Shows at 1.1 TB.
ETA: Thought we were just doing movies. Added everything else.
Last count was 1609 Movies, Just over 10,600 TV Episodes in 244 series
Around 10-12TB each I think

Yep Plexpy is very very good for stats and info.
I have 3 versions running in Docker for 3 different serversā¦
900 movies, 400 shows. Itās about 20tb. But for me itās more about quality than quantity, and I take great pride in my content rather than to have lots of stuff.
My treasure is my music library though, with a bit over 200k tracks. No need for online music services then
Btw, @lezardon you havenāt posted your own. Out of curiosity, how much do you have?
Thank you for all your posts. Every time I come discussing on this forum I learn more and more about this wonderful Plex.
Iām using Plex since several years now, and every day I see my library growing slowly but surely, and every day Iām more convinced that Plex is the best option to manage my medias.
Iām owning a Synology DS2415+ with 3 to 6TB HDD. Total used space now is at 22,15TB (2.18 TB left only before having to purchase one more disk⦠1 year ago I thought that it was so much space, but today I think it is notā¦
How I use this space ?
Well, I agree with you that quality is more important than quality. I then focuse on storing only 1080/multi/DTS movies and FLAC/SACD for music and I exclude SD movies or MP3 from the library.
HD movies: 15.85TB (2.972 items)
Series: 841GB (690 items)
Music: 3TB (, 84,743 tracks)
Personal medias: 280GB (57,670 items).
Should be interesting to update this survey in 5 or 10 years :))
About 30tb
Just shy of 1000 movies, over 200 tv shows in about 8TB of storage. Most of it bought over the years and ripped by myself using dvdfab.
Current stats, about 18tb
