Sync interface // mod: incl. Home Screen layout

It would be great to have the ability to sync interface settings across platforms. I’ve spent quite a bit of time getting Plexamp looking exactly the way that I prefer. Then I realized I had to setup it up for the mac pro and macbook air. With the exact settings, the interfaces match between platforms, so syncing should not be an issue.

Thank you Plex team.

I primarily interact with my library using custom home screen layouts (smart album filters mostly). I like to keep these in sync across multiple devices, which currently involves manually editing (in the case of filters, recreating the filter from scratch) the home screen sections on each device. In the case of reinstalling plexamp, all sections need to be manually recreated.

It would be good if there were a way to save layouts and pull them to a device on demand, or even have them automatically sync with eachother when updated. One caveat would be that I like to keep different item sizes on different devices (smaller artwork on phones, larger on computers).

Secondly, it would be ideal if home screen sections based on filters could have those filters edited, rather than having to delete a section and recreate it.

If the hub is based on a published smart collection, you can do it by editing the collection.
This would also affect all devices at the same time. Only the “style” settings of the hub need editing on each individual Plexamp instance (if the default is not suitable).

Ordering of these custom hubs is managed globally under
(in the web app) Settings - [server name] - Manage - Libraries

Thanks, this actually does implement a lot of what I was looking for. Process is a little convoluted, hopefully it can be simplified one day
