I’ve got HDHR viewer 2 and HDGrandSlam channels but they both buffer a lot. I would like to transcode live TV on the fly while I am watching. Is it possible? Watching live TV should be the biggest priority for the Plex devs, I think.
Live TV is something we will be looking into once the DVR Beta is done. Right now, we are focusing on the DVR portion.
If you guys can pull it off Plex will be head and shoulders above any of the other products on the market and it is a much-needed feature add. Thanks
What are you trying to view these channels in where you are experiencing buffering? (plexweb, pmp, fire tv, nvidia shield, atv, ios) I may be able to assist depending on the client.
Roku. I think it’s just the sheer volume of raw data is just too much for the wifi. That’s why I want to transcode the live stream.
I hope you guys are still working on this. Transcoding live TV would be a huge feature! It works OK right now, but I still get the Wifi chops unless I’m sitting close to the access point.
Get Emby forget Plex.

Was just included in Android beta.
It’s rolled out on a few clients now with more coming.
