Transcoding of TrueHD audio tracks not triggered for some files, resulting in no audio

I have a strange problem with some new files containing a TrueHD audio track when playing them on the Apple TV. They do not trigger the usual transcode to FLAC, resulting in no audio being played at all.

Notice how it says Direct Play for the TrueHD track when it should rather do a transcode.

I tried the same files on iOS and inside a browser, and the audio gets correctly transcoded. The problem seems to be isolated to the Apple TV.

All other files I have with TrueHD audio are correctly triggering a transcode when played on the Apple TV, the problem is only with these newly created files.

Here are the details of the audio track on one of the affected files:

Could somebody help me with this problem?

As a follow-up, I remuxed the files and they’re now working correctly on the Apple TV.

I still have no idea why the Apple TV player had this weird issue with the original files.
