Thanks for the logs. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be logging the media decision in the same manner in the working examples. Perhaps that’s always been the case, but I really thought it did for some reason.
At any rate, I don’t see any reason why it would be able to direct play the files it is, versus the one it is not. The only other significant difference I see in the XML data between them is the number of reference frames listed for the direct playable ones compared to the transcoded examples. In the direct played files, refFrames is 5; for the transcodes files, refFrames is 8. You could have a look at your other files to see if that pattern holds (search for “refFrames=”).
