Trying to play a specific genre on shuffle but getting multiple genres

I use Media Monkey to edit my mp3 files and have tagged them in to about 10 different genres. When I try to play them on PlexAmp Server I see both album and artist genre but when I select the genre I want (under either catagory) and pick the shuffle button I get playback of multiple genres instead of just the one I want…I’m sure the answer is that I’m an idiot but I really can’t figure this out

edit I asked Bard and is suggested this as a possible reason…I do have a library of 13,000+ songs

  • You may have too many songs in your library. If you have a very large music library, Plexamp may take some time to generate a shuffle queue. This can sometimes lead to songs from different genres being shuffled together.
