I keep having an issue where I am unable to stream (remotely or locally, transcoded or direct) anything from my TV libraries. It simply gives the error, “an error occurred loading items to play”.
This happens from every player I have tried except my mobile phone running the Android app. There are a few shoes that are exceptions to this, but after watching them for a period of time on a player that I can convince to run them, they somehow become unloadable, or something. In a few cases I was also able to get them running on the Windows app, but the same behavior occurred.
I Google searched this error and of course came across the “corrupted library” issue, but I haven’t been able to find any solution to this problem on Unraid, as any guide simply outlines how to do it on Linux, Windows, and Mac. I even tried just creating a new TV library to see if the issue persisted, which it did. I’ve checked that every file I tested would play locally outside of Plex (VLC, WMP, ect.), and it did. The shows I have are in a few various codecs and such, but this never caused an issue in the past.
I’m not sure where to proceed, this issue just sort of started when I noticed it with a couple of my shows, then it started getting worse and worse, almost like it was infecting all of them. At this point you have about a 1-in-4 shot of actually getting one of them to run, and if you do the next episode is the same crapshoot all over again.
If anyone has any guidance for me, or anything I should try to do to fix this, please let me know. Also let me know if you need any more info.
