TV recordings black screen with sound with Apple TV

Hi There, I have plex 1.8.1 running on ubuntu with a WinTV-dualHD. Scheduled programs are recorded correctly, but when i play them back on the Apple TV, the video is black with sound. If i change the playback preferences from “Play Original” to "Convert Automatically " it works, but with mixed results (sometime freezes when skipping forward).

I note that if i try and play original on my iphone/ipad its the same.

Is there some setting that i should have so that it all just works? :slight_smile:

I’m having the same issue. Recordings play fine on my Mac.
audio but no picture on Apple TV or iPhone.
