Two NAS's One Plex

Hello all,

I have Plex installed and running flawlessly on my WD PR4100. It’s just about out of space so I purchase a second PR 4100 to make one exclusively all Movies and the other TV Shows. My problem is I cannot figure out how to get Plex to see the new NAS. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Make the new NAS a smb share or cifs and mount that share from your NAS that runs Plex.

Once that’s setup you will be able to add the share as a library item.

I am not sure sure this will work. Have you tried this? BTW thanks so much for finding the thread.

I don’t have any WD but as long as you can mount the share with cifs, smb or nfs you should be abke to add it as a library item in Plex

I’d suggest you post to the WD forum for help on mounting a share between the 2 boxes.

Just make sure you mount it from the box running Plex and not vice versa.

You could also just install Plex server on the second box and sign it into your existing plex account.
Any client with UNO will then make switching between the two servers virtually transparent.
