Ubuntu installed and plex fine, i added a external hard drive plex wont see my folders

i cant seem to find a way to add my library from my external hard drive. i’m running ubuntu and i’m new to linux. i see the hard drive, but plex doesnt show my folders in the hard drive

In my experience, this is usually a permissions issue. Take a look at this guide:

I’m new to linux, so still learning commands.

If this is a snap install, you would have tell it about any drives mounted through snap commands.

First I would use a different mount point, anything mounted under /media is controlled by the DE.
