For the past month on my FIre TV boxes and sticks, and on my 3 Nvidia Shield’s I’m not always able to select a specific episode within a TV Show’s season. In the screenshot, you’ll see there are 3 episodes within this season. I have no ability to select a specific one, only hit play at the top which chooses the oldest Unplayed episode.
It appears this issue is only when there is 3 or fewer episodes. If there are 4 or more, pressing down selects the episodes and allows me to move freely between them to make my choice.
