When there is a program being actively DVRd and you hit the channel on iOS it will ask you if you want to play from start, if you hit play from start then it will play from start but the fast forward button is grayed out and the seek bar is empty. You cant go forward at all.
If you select Play Live, then you can scrub back and rewind/fast forward. Not great for sports games since you get spoilers this way.
So for instance today watching a soccer game today, was late by 40 min, wanted to start playing from begging. But begging ended up being like 10 minutes of ads. Cant fast forward to the game. Going live will spoil the first 30 minutes of the game.
