I’m wondering how Xfinity Home security determines this is an unauthorized attempt to access your server?!
If you have enabled remote access within Plex, this means your server is visible from outside your home network. It’s then up to Plex / yourself to determine if and which content is made available to a user.
If you feel the standard port is too exposed (e.g. allowing an attacker to determine you’re running a Plex Media Server)… you can always replace the automatic handling via UPnP by a manual port forward. With a manual port forward you can define which public port you’re exposing to the internet. Theoretically you can use any port… usually it’s best to define one in the range between 20000 and 50000 to avoid collisions.
If you do that on your router… make sure to also configure the remote access settings within Plex accordingly by checking and setting Settings > [Server Name] > Remote Access > Manually specify public port.
