Is there any benefit to doing a fresh install on a formatted SD card vs. just using the RasPlex Updater?
Would that be faster at all?

I presume doing a fresh install will clear your settings and cache, whereas the update will not?
It will keep your settings like: myPlex login, Wifi key, localization, …
Yes, I gathered I would have to redo all of my settings, which isn't a huge deal. I'm just curious if a fresh install would be any faster. I'm finding the menus a bit too sluggish for everyday use, especially for the wife. I usually end up using my iOS device to select the file I want and sending it to the RasPlex to play.
I tried both and the sluggishness is there both ways. I have a feeling it is related to the HD artwork caching. So I am back at .35!
I must say that I am not completely fair since my main client is PHT on a 2011 MacMini. It is really hard to compare any thin client to a full blown computer running PHT.
Well i doubt rasplex will end up being as fluid as on a mac mini, but 0.1.37 should be quite faster than previous versions as far as speed is concerned.
what is the class of your SD card ?
.37 its running flawless for me,
p. I always do clean installs, bad habit :D
