Urgent help needed, makes me sick, for more than a year basic sort issue is not fixed anymore!

When accessing the DLNA sort list for by album, it is not sorted by album, but by artist and album combination, which is not what it should be. even added “title” just to AlbumSortOrder, but this just reflects the behaviour of the web interface, but not the dlna version … it makes me really physically sick … if someone out there to help … would be really great, as there is no input for real support issues … thx a lot in advance, problem true for all platforms, best regards, pierre

Thanks for coming back to me, see attachment from apple screen shot, same stuff for android. DLNA-client is Denon heos and you see the album selection, which starts with interpret, which leads to unreadable at all and especially in “Various Artists” group, thx a lot in advance, br pierre

Can you provide a screenshot? AFAIK, it’s up to the DLNA client to request the list. I have not seen albums listed as artist-album. Typical DLNA clients show either artist OR album, not both.

Edit - Keep in mind that PMS’s DLNA server is not maintained. Except for extreme cases (major bug or crash), there are no updates.
