Hi
It would be great to have a running log of usage e.g. who logged in (as in the managed user), from what device & IP address, what did they watch, how far did through did they get in watching it etc…
Not just their last login time, but what are they using.
MC
I can’t see this ever happening, though were be great to have.
In the meantime -> PlexPy
It’s a great addon and will do exactly what you want.

Thanks I will have a look.
Pity if it never happens, it would be useful to have as the person who manages the library and I imagine it would simply be a matter of scraping the Plex logs and presenting the information in a tidy way.
It would also be great to see which users/devices have synced or downloaded media e.g. videos etc

I’ve had a good play with PlexPy and you are right, it does everything I want and does so beautifully. It was even an easy install, I run Plex on a Synology NAS so I just installed the PlexPy Docker container and it was running in minutes. It looks like a great bit of coding.
Thanks for the recommendation!! Just a shame that Plex hasn’t simply integrated PlexPy into their source code base.
Note: this would not just be useful for the library manager to see user habits and content usage. But also simple features for the end user like showing them the videos they have watched lately e.g. I watched this great video the other day but I can’t remember its name
