In my premium music library, all of my complications have “various artists” as the album artist. As of a few days ago, I could browse my library by artist, navigate to various artists, and then after I selected it, I’d be browsing all my compilations.
As of yesterday, I can no longer see various artists as an artist to select. The albums are still in my library, still tagged with “various artists” as the album artist, yet I can’t navigate to that “artist”.
Any ideas?
Can you provide a screenshot of the Music library?
What version of Plex Media Server are you running?
What version of Plex Web?
What do you see if you search for Various Artists? Does ‘Various Artists’ appear under ‘Artists?’

And yes, as you can see from the screenshot, if I search for various artists, it comes up as one. So it “feels” like the only thing actually wrong is that it’s not listing as an artist when I browse the library.

If you select the Various Artists item from the Search results, then click the ‘pencil’ icon to edit the artist, can you screenshot the Edit page?
This is interesting- I did it, and here’s what it says:
Shouldn’t Sort Artist be Various Artists too?
Just for fun, I then went to Hans Zimmer’s page, expecting to see 184 compilations, but…nope. Just his stuff.

well…that did the trick! I changed the sort artist to Various Artists, and now it shows up again. Thanks for helping me think though it!
It wouldn’t have been on Hans Zimmer’s page, just alphabetized among your Artists by “Hans.” Anyway, glad we got it figured out.
