same problem, but stupid me didn't even think about asking for something like this :D

Yep, really want this. Had my playback pause while playing remotely from PMC on Windows and this is quite unpleasant for the viewing experience.
One thing that I also noticed is that myPlex streaming doesnât seem to follow the cache settings in Preferences.
Even when I set the cache size to 20 seconds, playback often stops for a little bit during the first few seconds, even though it shouldâve buffered 20 seconds of content.
I will note however that it could be much better than youtube: Even after buffering video, youtube will stutter because it wants X amount of buffer full, and will wait until thatâs the case (either that or the UI simply lies).
Instead of XBMCâs âX secondsâ of buffer, an advanced setting of âX MBâ of buffer would be much better: bitrate fluctuates per video, but the internet connection you watch it on does not.
Plus, even 100MB local storage is essentially trivial now.
Absolutely voting for this. Iâm kind of stunned Plex doesnât do this automatically. What reason could there be for not continuing to buffer content while paused?

gret feature to have
YESSSSSSS!.. please
I would love this feature, as long as I can select it optionally. I would love this on some of my clients, but not all. Thereâs proâs and conâs for each.
Have any devs responded and said if this is even possible or not? Now with the better transcoding, maybe this will be the next step?

Would love this too, also why do some videoâs buffer on the iPad and others donât? doesnât seem to be a good reason for it I can seeâŠ

+1 definitely!
Agree!!
This is one of the features that keeps me from using Plex while traveling with any kind of transportation. Here in Norway we got great mobile data coverage and cheap internet with good uplink speed so usually it is not a problem. Unfortunately it is way to many f#€# mountains so the mobile data coverage are often dropping way too much and can stay that way for several minutes while driving ect..
iknow.. first world problem..
